Bioness NESS H200

Bioness NESS H200
Introduction

When stroke, brain injury or spinal cord injury occurs, a person's neurological abilities, like grasping, can be greatly impaired. The innovative NESS H200 Neuroprosthetic and Rehabilitation System from Bioness Inc., helps patients improve hand function and voluntary movement, allowing them to return to daily activities with confidence.

The NESS H200 uses functional electrical stimulation to improve upper-extremity rehabilitation with extraordinary results. Ergonomic in design, the NESS H200 surrounds a patient's hand and forearm for proper limb positions.

Features

The NESS H200 has five surface electrodes integrated into the system to stimulate and activate the hand and facilitate neuromuscular re-education. Therapy programs and function modes are pre-programmed, providing the clinician and the patient control over the desired hand activation. Once the device is fitted on a patient, movement can begin immediately, offering an encouraging experience for renewed hope.

Using the NESS H200, patients can practice grasping and releasing objects, while also performing activities of daily living. With consistent treatment, patients can regain range of motion, while further reducing spasticity. Complete therapeutic benefits include:

  • Improved hand function
  • Facilitated muscle re-education
  • Reduced spasticity
  • Assisted atrophy prevention
  • Increased range of motion and blood circulation
