 George Carlis George Carlis, Chief Development Officer
George Carlis joined HealthSouth in 2011 as vice president of development and was promoted to chief development officer in 2012. He is an accomplished attorney with 25 years of diverse legal, real estate and business experience. Most recently, Carlis served as general counsel for Arlington Capital Advisors, LLC, a sell-side mergers and acquisitions consultant. Additionally, he served as senior vice president and retail division general counsel for Colonial Properties Trust, senior developer for AIG Baker Shopping Center Properties, LLC, and senior vice president and deputy general counsel for Saks Incorporated. He holds a law degree from Cornell University Law School, and a bachelor's degree in accounting from Western Illinois University.

 Andrew Ward Andrew Ward, Vice President, Development
Andy Ward joined HealthSouth in 2007 as director of development and has served as vice president of development since April of that year. Prior to joining HealthSouth Ward served in various roles with Velocity Health Securities, an investment bank focused on small and middle market health care transactions. He received his MBA from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management and his bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Tennessee Knoxville.
