In keeping with the HealthSouth philosophy of setting a standard of excellence, it is realized that a path must be established to allow individuals to achieve career growth in their chosen profession.

Recognizing that all clinicians are not suited for or do not aspire to management positions, HealthSouth provides a Clinical Career Ladder to support the advancement efforts of the patient-treatment oriented staff member.

Requirements for Participation
  • Full-time licensed and/or degreed professional clinical employees in the Inpatient Division. Part-time employees are considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • Associate, baccalaureate or master's degree from an accredited university and appropriate licensure or certification by the state where the clinician practices.

Each ladder position has specific parameter requirements categorized as years of clinical experience, credentials, continuing education participation, and professional expertise.
